The First One - kinda long

A many updates post!

First, the TIFFY crew had such an awesome time on Friday. A really beautiful community event for Warm Up Boston at the First Church in Cambridge, MA and we were honored to be a part of it. 📷 by Alex Ilyadis

Second, The state of social media has always been confusing and frustrating, but I’ve met so many people specifically on instagram and some on tiktok because of the Boston music scene. I have become great friends IRL or just friends in these online spaces. It’s been a powerful form of social connection. We’re moving into a cultural shift. Honestly, I have not been able to navigate posting and making content for multiple platforms even before this meta/tiktok chaos and so I’m not going to put effort anymore into trying to keep up with what’s what and just do me on these things for however long it lasts. I’ve been frustrated at the amount of ads, censorship, and shadow banning on the apps, many who have opted in to follow me won’t see this post. From a creation and user point I have been disillusioned for a while.

So I write this as my first blog post on my website. My own site is what I truly have control over and people can keep up as they please! P much anything I post here I’ll share on socials, which leads to the blue sky handle. @tiffyallcaps.bsky.social

Okay third, TIFFY has 2 awesome shows coming up. Bringing back the Chappell Roan super cover set back to Deep Cuts on Valentines Day, alongside Alanis Morissette and Magnetic Fields sets. Then a classic TIFFY set (will all 4 of us be there? More? less? ) at the Midway Cafe in JP for a matinee show Sunday 2/23.

recording drums :)

The first half of this year will be pretty chill writing and demoing, and it’s what I need. I have some new songs in the works I’m really stoked on! I’m being intentional about taking my time and not rushing the process. Surf Camp has become one of my favorite songs to play live and when I think about the writing and recording process I rushed it and there are moments I’ve discovered in this song that can only happen live now. I suppose that’s part of the magic. ⬇️

What I’ve been listening to recently that I highly recommend (some new some not). Buy/listen on BANDCAMP. Even the HQ streaming services like tidal & apple squash their hi res. I’ve been on apple music for the past 6 months, streaming HQ too but it just doesn't hit like a true lossless file. I’m serious:
